Helping the Andrasik’s make it Home for the Holidays

In an earlier post, we mentioned The House that Beer Built, aka the “Wildfire Build,” a collaborative effort to raise funds and build a home for the Andrasik family who lost their home in High Park Fire in 2012.

Thanks to all of the participating breweries, supporters and community members who have donated, we’re almost there! We still need to raise $13,000 more to cover the cost of the home and Habitat is looking for volunteers to help finish the build.

We want to encourage the community to donate to Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity this holiday season and consider donating time to help finish the build process. Help us get the Andrasik’s home by Christmas! Consider making a donation on the Habitat website or schedule a donation for Colorado Gives Day on Dec. 10.

You can also help by purchasing a limited edition House That Beer Built t-shirt available at CooperSmith’s, all proceeds go toward the building of the home.

Every volunteer must REGISTER and sign-up online. Click here to reserve your spot today! Be sure to sign up for the “Wildfire Build” which is designated at the top of the calendar. You may sign up for any dates that have “Individual Volunteer” slots open. After registering, you will receive an email with all of the information you will need regarding location, supplies to bring, etc. Please plan on dedicating a full day to this project as Volunteers will need to meet at 7:15 am and will be back down the mountain by 5:00 pm. You can help us to make the Andrasik’s dream a reality!
