We are thrilled to announce that all FOUR of our beers featured at the Denver International Beer Competition won medals!
Mischievous Monk – GOLD
A playful invitation of dark fruit and bubblegum aromas excite curiosity, while a pepper spiciness and warming alcohol sensation provide contrast to the rich malt flavors.
Sweet Georgia Brown – GOLD
Rich caramel malt flavors, light toastiness and a medium body make this Southern English Brown smooth and easy drinking.
TBD IPA – SILVER
Purposely undefined, “TBD IPA” will serve as a platform hop experimentation as new varieties emerge and current varieties experience seasonal fluctuation. This version features Amarillo, Simcoe and Motueka.
Maerzen – SILVER
Pilsen, Munich and Honey malt combine to give this amber its sweet character. Fermenting with lager yeast, a long aging period and German noble hops make it very smooth.
Denver International Beer Competition
The 7th Annual Denver International Beer Competition was held on April 2 & 3 at the Omni Interlocken Resort in Broomfield, Colorado. The judging panel consisted of 20-30 seasoned, certified professional beer judges. This is a double-blind competition and unlike traditional competitions, all beers are scored based on points, allowing the DIBC to recognize winners in individual merits.
CooperSmith’s was thrilled to enter the competition because it gives us a great idea of how our beers stack up against some of the best beers from around the world. More than 150 beers were submitted and all FOUR of our beers received medals! We can’t wait to go back next year.
