Since 1989, CooperSmith’s has been proud to be Fort Collins’ first official brewpub, and we’re excited to share what’s next. We’ve officially signed a lease to reoccupy a portion of our former Poolside space at #7 Old Town Square, and we’re building something brand new inside it.
Not a reopening. A reimagining.
Introducing: CooperSmith’s Billiards (Coming Soon)
This new venue will live in part of the space that previously housed CooperSmith’s Poolside (which closed in 2022), but the experience will be completely refreshed with a modern, easygoing approach to gathering while keeping a little of that Poolside charm we all loved.
Think: casual, social, snackable, and made for hanging out (whether it’s after dinner, before a show, or just because you’re in the mood for a great slice and a game).
Here’s what you can expect when Billiards opens:

Counter service for quick ordering and a laid-back flow

A simplified, snackable menu featuring pizza by the slice and classic bar snacks

A cozy new footprint: 5,300 square feet (down from the original 8,000), now neighboring the new Visit Fort Collins Welcome Center

Seven pool tables plus a curated mix of board games, cards, and lounge-style seating

Multiple TVs to bring in that sports-bar energy without losing the “come-as-you-are” vibe
A Space Built for Groups (and Indoor-Outdoor Hangouts)
One of the most exciting changes is what’s happening on the west side of the building: what used to be beer production space will become all seating, including a private rental area designed for groups of 30–40 people.
We’re also adding an additional garage-style door to elevate that indoor-outdoor feel… because in Fort Collins, patio season is basically a sport.
Same Great Partners, Fresh New Look
We’re once again teaming up with Salt Design and Thunderpup Construction, the teams behind the recent Pubside remodel, to bring this new concept to life.
And Yes… There’s a New Logo and Tagline
A new era deserves a new look.
As we build toward opening CooperSmith’s Brewpub & Billiards, we’re also revealing our new logo and tagline:
You’ll see this new identity rolling out across our channels, signage, and the new space as we get closer to opening day.
